I want to start to learn to pluck my eyebrows! ANY HELP?

I go to a nail salon to get my eyebrows done but I feel bad cause my mom pays a lot of $$ for something I can do at home. My eyebrows annoy me, I like them perfect! They are kinda slanted and uneven! I want to ask my mom about it... How do I do it? What supplies do i need? (where can I get?) also how do I pluck my eyebrows without hurting myself???!!! thanks!!!
